Q: Are you a Certified Public Records Officer (PRO)?

Q. How many years have you been a Public Records Officer (PRO)?

Two years.

Q. What is one Public Records tip or best practice you have gleaned from your work that you would pass on to others in this field of work?

Only create records that are absolutely necessary.

Q. How did you get involved with WAPRO?

I got involved with WAPRO in November 2016 when I became a Public Records Officer. The organization is absolutely wonderful and is second to none in regards to training and support.

Q. What do you consider the biggest public records challenge (either with the PRA or holding a position responsible for compliance with the PRA)?

Wow, this is a hard one to answer. Making sure your agency is compliant with the PRA rules and getting agency PRA buy-in at all levels.

Q. What is your favorite motto/quote?

Less is more.

Q. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

Acting, gardening, and spending time with my family.
